Suck'em Up-
An underwater spelunker's dream dive. The main portion of this dive is a
large lava tube and an equally large cavern which sit next to each other.
Lots of small critters here and it is not uncommon to see a white tip reef shark and a
turtle or two. If time and air permits there are also some other small caverns worth
exploring nearby. Depth 20' to 60'.
Jim's Outhouse-
This is a site heavily effected by both current and swell
so to dive it the conditions have to be just right. When they are, what a
dive! Clouds of butterflyfish, damselfish, tangs and goatfish, plus such a
large variety of other reef fish that it seems like you are in a packed
aquarium. A fun drift dive. Depth 30' to 65'.
Pine
Trees Point- Here is a
dive that has a little bit of everything.
Some pinnacles to explore, some
nice schools of pyramid butterflyfish, domino damselfish and aholehole, and a beautiful cavern wallpapered with red, orange and
yellow sponges. Depth 25' to 80'.
Double Arches-
This is a dive for those that like to take their time and
look for small critters. In addition to two very scenic arches there are lots of
pinnacles with cracks and crevices that house all sorts of nudibranchs, crabs,
shrimp, endemic pipefish and gobies. Common sightings here are turkeyfish,
wire coral gobies and harlequin shrimp. A great macro photography
dive. Depth 35' to 65'.
Turtle
Heaven- Turtle diving at
its best. Green sea turtles abound along with an occasional hawksbill. The
turtles come here for a little underwater R & R, and to get the algae
cleaned off their shell by various surgeonfish. What makes this a favorite is
the diversity. Frogfish, different types of scorpionfish, several fish
endemic to Hawaii, and an arch that offers a unique underwater
view. A really interesting dive. Depth 25' to 85'.
